Konstantin Prochukhan, Deputy CEO for Technological Development, presented the company at Russia’s main industry platform which brings together the government, vertically integrated oil companies, and equipment and technology suppliers.

Konstantin delivered a report at the strategic session “Chemical and Thermal Methods of Increasing Oil Recovery: How to Turn Hard‑to‑Recover Reserves into the Industry’s Main Resource.”

The session was devoted to converting hard‑to recover reserves into economically viable production. The share of such reserves in the Russian Federation already exceeds 60% and may rise to 80% in the next 10–15 years. Their development requires new oil recovery technologies — thermal and chemical methods have the greatest potential.

This is precisely where the role of the MTT technology is revealed: it opens access to these hydrocarbon reserves.

In his speech, Konstantin Prochukhan presented the current status of the work on the MTT technology and supported the report with video and photo evidence on preparing for the MTT pilot testing from the Lugovskoye field. During the presentation, Konstantin demonstrated that Russia has the resource base necessary for the industrial implementation of thermal methods to enhance oil recovery.

Representatives of the Ministry of Energy of Russia, Tatneft, Gazprom Neft, NK Rosneft, Lukoil, Kazan Federal University, and other relevant organizations also took part in the discussion.
