Hard-to-recover mineral reserves are to be developed using multifluid thermal technology

Hard-to-recover mineral reserves (HTR) in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug are to be extracted using multifluid thermal technology (MTT). This was reported by the press service of Oil Resource.

The technology will make it possible to extract and improve the efficiency of production of almost all types of oil from depths up to 4,000 meters and significantly increase the actual recoverable oil reserves in key oil-producing regions of the country,

— say experts from the Oil Resource oil company.

The technology is planned to be used throughout Russia

22 enterprises are producing oil at 74 fields in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug in 2025. The region is one of the leading centers of the Russian oil and gas industry. Yamal has unique hydrocarbon reserves and a well-developed transport infrastructure.

Significant volumes of HTR are concentrated in the district, the development of which requires the use of advanced technologies and attracting significant investments. The largest deposits of hard-to-recover oil in the okrug are concentrated in the Nadym-Pur-Taz region.

Today, when oil demand remains stable and technology is improving, companies are ready to take a more systematic approach to HTR development, assessing their potential in the long term,

— says Semyon Garagul, founder and CEO of Oil Resource oil company.
