In early August, the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation hosted the fourth meeting of the working group "Exploration, well construction, development and operation of oil and gas fields" of the Scientific and Technical Council (STC) on the development of the Russian fuel and energy complex. The meeting was attended by representatives of the "Oil Resource" oil company.

The meeting focused on the priority areas of scientific research for academic and university science in the areas of exploration and production.

Presentations on promising technologies were made by representatives of leading Russian vertically integrated oil companies, service companies as well as employees of educational and scientific institutions, in particular Kazan Federal University (KFU), Moscow State University, RAS and others.

At the meeting, a representative of KFU spoke about the successful experience of co-financing research work through the Russian Science Foundation under the Ministry of Education and plans to apply this experience together with "Oil Resource" in relation to multifluid thermal technology (MTT) on medium-viscous oils.
