On February 18, 2025 in the blue hall of the main building of Kazan Federal University an important event took place - signing of a cooperation agreement between the Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies (IGPT) KFU and Oil Resource LLC.

The meeting was attended by: Semyon Garagul, General Director of Oil Resource LLC; Ildar Zyabbarov, Advisor to the General Director of Oil Resource LLC; Dmitry Tayursky, First Vice-Rector - Vice-Rector for Scientific Activities, KFU; Danis Nurgaliev, Vice-Rector for Oil and Gas Technologies, Nature Management and Earth Sciences, KFU; Ildus Chukmarov, Deputy Director for Additional Education and Work with Industrial Partners, KFU; Mikhail Varfolomeyev, Deputy Director of the Center for Scientific Activities, KFU.



Danis Nurgaliyev, Vice-Rector for Oil and Gas Technologies, Nature Management and Earth Sciences, KFU, welcomed the guests of the university. He acquainted the delegation with the organizational structure of the Institute, highlighting the achievements of IGPT in various university rankings, as well as spoke about the importance of strategic partnership. The main attention was paid to current issues and achievements in the field of geology and oil.

Then both sides signed a cooperation agreement. The signing of the cooperation agreement became a symbol of cooperation between science and industry, contributing to the further development of innovative technologies in the field of geology and oil production.

We decided to sign a cooperation agreement because Oil Resource LLC is just starting its journey in the oil and gas sector, and we are very interested in working together with them from the very beginning. The main goal of the company is to work for the future, which implies an emphasis on technology, especially when there may be complex fields in the future. They plan to produce oil that is currently out of reach by applying advanced technologies. This situation opens up interesting opportunities for us, because cooperation with this company can potentially lead to significant achievements and successes»

The official part was followed by a tour of the KFU History Museum, where the guests could familiarize themselves with the rich heritage of the university, and then visited the laboratories dedicated to oil and gas areas at the Alexander Butlerov Chemistry Institute and the Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies.


Ildus Chukmarov, Head of the Center for Additional Education at IGPT KFU, presented the university's capabilities in training and retraining specialists for the oil and gas sector, emphasizing the importance of updating knowledge in a rapidly changing industry.

«We have created a scientific center that has been cooperating with Kazan Federal University for a long time. Our company Oil Resource actively develops advanced technologies in the oil and gas industry, develops and patents new inventions. The main task is to unite all the best technologies from all over the world and realize them in our country. In particular, we intend to focus on hard-to-recover reserves and actively implement innovative solutions. In addition, we plan to conduct training for our company's employees at the Center for Additional Education of the Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies of KFU»
